Inept Illinois governor Pat Quinn signed into law what he said was a "temporary" income tax increase three years ago--the 67 percent hike expires in 315 days. The corporate tax rate was jumped by 45 percent.
The Chicago Democrat lied about the increase, he said that new funds would be used to pay off old bills, but the backlog of unpaid bills has gone up.
Meanwhile, the Democrats who have supermajorities in the General Assembly because of gerrymandering, are plotting to install a progressive income tax to replace the "temporary" hike.
There's an election in November.
