From The Hill:
The House on Thursday advanced a bill that would freeze the work of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), a protest against President Obama's 2012 appointments to the NLRB that a court has said were unconstitutional.Technorati tags: business economy news government politics labor unions nlrb
Members voted 226-194 in favor of the rule for the bill, which sets up a debate and vote on the legislation on Friday.
The bill is a reaction to President Obama's decision last year to "recess appoint" three people to the NLRB, two of whom are still there: Sharon Block and Richard Griffin. But a federal court found that the appointments were unconstitutional, as the Senate was not in recess at the time.
