Last week the credit ratings firm Fitch placed the Illinois' bond rating on Rating Watch Negative,
President Obama brought Illinois' reckless spending to Washington, so it should be no surprise that Fitch is warning that the United States could lose its AAA credit rating if a battle similar to the last debt ceiling face-off ensues. That was when Standard & Poors issued America its first-ever credit rating downgrade.
If the Fitch downgrade happens, President Obama--as his his wont--will blame the Republicans. But Obama inherited top credit ratings from President Bush.
