In the first full week after President Obama'a reelection, new first-time jobless claims have soared to 439,000--the highest amount in 18 months. Last week they were at 355,000.
Don't blame me--I voted for Mitt Romney.
The Labor Department is citing Hurricane Sandy as the catalyst for this bad news. But remember--two years ago Obama was pointing his finger at the Japanese tsunami and the Arab Spring protests for the stalled recovery. When he wasn't blaming George W. Bush, that is. There is never a shortage of excuses with the regime.
And the recovery is still stalled.
