California ground squirrel at Yosemite

Well camouflaged in the brown soil, this California ground squirrel managed to fit in well among the picnic tables at Yosemite National Park. The fallen bits of food and handouts kept the squirrel busy.

Photographed on the western end of the park three years ago.
