Sore loser: Cutter on D-M Register endorsement, "Didn't seem to be based at all on reality"

The decline and fall of the Obama Cult of Change proves that their movement was never about hope. When questioned this morning about the Des Moines Register's endorsement of Mitt Romney, Obama campaign hatchetwoman Stephanie Cutter deemed it not a surprise, since the influential paper endorsed Romney in the Iowa Caucuses in January. Of the general election endorsement, Cutter dismissed it as something that "didn't seem to be based at all on reality."

Cutter seriously needs a dose of reality. Here is who the Register endorsed in the prior three contested Republican caucuses in the Hawkeye State: Bob Dole in 1996, George W. Bush in 2000, and John McCain in 2008. All three went on to win the GOP nomination--but the Register endorsed the Democratic nominee for the general election. Yes, that of course means the paper gave its nod to Obama in the autumn of 2008.

As I remarked last night, the Register hasn't endorsed a Republican in a general election since 1972. You can look it up, Cutter. It's real. As for the Obama apparatus, it's becoming increasingly irrational--and nasty.

They're sore losers.
