Unemployment rate increases to 8.3 percent

The nationwide unemployment rate increased to 8.3 percent. There were 163,000 new jobs created.

But remember, the White House promised that the jobless rate would not exceed 8 percent if its $862 billion stimulus became law. It's been over 8 percent for 42 months.

Mitt Romney is right: Obama isn't working.

Oh, once again, the prior month's jobs figure was revised downwards. Instead of 80,000 jobs being created, only 64,000 were. Look for the July numbers to be revised downwards next month.
