Schakowsky on Keystone said that 20K jobs "not that many," but that equals 1/4 of June's new jobs

When asked about President Obama's blocking of the jobs-creating Keystone XL pipeline in January, my über-liberal congresscritter Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) said that "Twenty thousand jobs is really not that many jobs."

Yesterday the June jobs figures were released--80,000 jobs created, a figure most experts dismissed as dismal, but President Obama amazingly called it a "step in the right direction."

So 20,000 jobs now looks very good according to lib-logic--especially since it would come from one project, albeit a massive one. In fact, Schakowsky was wrong twice. Sen. John Barrasso says Keystone will create over 100,000 jobs--which is even better than Obama's "step in the right direction."

And Keystone will almost certainly lead to lower gasoline prices--which are creeping back up again.
