Although they plan to attend DNC anyway, unions to hold 'shadow convention' as protest

Here's a pointless exercise: Big Labor is big-time mad at the Democrats they love so much because they are holding their presidential nominating convention in North Carolina--which is the least unionized-state in the country. In response they are holding a 'shadow convention.' But rather than making that point in Charlotte--where the DNC is taking place, they will holding their get-together in Philadelphia.

But most of the unions will still be attending the DNC.

I don't get it either.
