After her address at CPAC Chicago this evening, US Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) gave a press conference. I asked her a question about Mitt Romney's chances of winning her home state.
"It would be a delight to have him voted in this year in the state Minnesota," she replied, "and I'm doing everything that I can on my end to make sure that happens."
The Tea Party Republican declared, "Now our nominee, Mitt Romney, is behind the full-scale repeal of ObamaCare."
She expressed confidence in voters' perception of the former Massachusetts governor. "One thing with Mitt Romney: people know he's very smart, they know he's very savvy, they understand that he has competence when it comes to dealing with the economy," Bachmann added. "They know they can trust him on that. Women know they can trust Romney on the economy. And that's really what people care about right now."
She then called President Obama an "abject failure."
