Over the weekend AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka told Bloomberg TV in regards to supporting Democratic campaigns this year, "I think labor will do some help. I think it won't be as much as it was in the past."
Huh? Labor bosses have already pledged $400 million to get President Obama reelected and to aid his fellow Democrats. In 2008 they spent $500 million. My guess is that if the polls are close this autumn, Big Labor will find some more money.
