Occupy Oakland: 300 arrests, US flag burned, cops assaulted, art vandalized

Those peaceful folks with Occupy Oakland held a roving rally yesterday. Among the lowlights were 300 arrests, a burning of an American flag, broke into City Hall and stole some more flags, assaulted police officers with rocks and bottles, vandalized art, damaged fencing and construction equipment, and generally created havoc.

Oakland's hapless mayor, Jean Quan, who initially fawned over the radical leftists, still doesn't get it. She is blaming the mayhem on a tiny "very radical, violent" segment within the Occupy movement.

Three weeks ago Occupy Oakland held a "F*ck OPD" rally.
