It's possible to utilize a Friday news dump on a Wednesday when "hump day" falls four days before Christmas. That's what the cowards of the Obama administration did when the EPA released its Utility MACT rules this afternoon.
It was 363 days ago, December 23, 2010, when Interior Secretary Ken Salazar announced details of his "Wild Lands" policy that would have prevented energy development on millions of acres of federally-owned land. That sneaky move was blocked when Congress refused to fund it.
Utility MACT will lead to the closing of dozens of coal-fired power plants, increase electricity rates, and possibly lead to rolling blackouts.
Candidate Obama promised voters transparency three years ago. He didn't promise sneakiness.
