Bachmann to visit real birthplace town of John Wayne on Wednesday

Michele Bachmann, a native of Waterloo, Iowa, wrongly claimed that John Wayne was born there while campaigning in the northeastern Iowa town last summer.

But "The Duke" was actually born in Winterset, which is southwest of Des Moines. The Minnesota congresswoman will be at the Northside Cafe, which is about a mile away from Wayne's birthplace. She's scheduled to appear at 5:15pm on Wednesday.

Last year I was in Winterset, which is in Madison County. Yes, that Madison County.
