American Enterprise Institute: 5 economic heroes (and zeroes) of 2011

You won't lose to Kim Jong-il in 2012
Another year-end post as we approach...well, you know. James Pethokoukis of the American Enterprise Institute lists his five economic heroes (and zeroes) of the past year.

The heroes are:

5) Erskine Bowles and former Senator Alan Simpson, the chairmen of the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform, whose recommendations President Obama chose to ignore.
4) Herman Cain
3) Steve Jobs
2) Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin
1) Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI)

The zeroes are:

5) Lafe Solomon, the acting counsel of the National Labor Relations Board
4) The Occupy Movement. 2011 was a bad year if these leftists couldn't be the top zero.
3) Elizabeth Warren, a Democratic candidate for the US Senate in Massachusetts, who says she created "much of the intellectual foundation" of the Occupy Wall Street protests.
2) The White House
1) Kim Jong-il. A lifetime achievement award?
