WFI Responds To Introduction Of Senate Legislation Prohibiting Forced Unionization

Washington, D.C. (October 7, 2011) – The Workforce Fairness Institute (WFI) today released the following statement in response to the introduction of legislation in the U.S. Senate (S. 1666) prohibiting the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) from obligating businesses to place notices at worksites encouraging unionization:

"As President Obama's labor board continues to advance the interests of union bosses at the expense of American workers, Congress must step forward and defend employees and employers seeking to survive one of the most challenging economic environments in modern history," said Fred Wszolek, spokesperson for the Workforce Fairness Institute (WFI). "Senate legislation which stops the NLRB from requiring nearly all American employers to post a one-sided notice that promotes unionization and encourages discord not harmony in the workplace will send a needed message to our business men and women that Washington intends to work with them, not against them, and that it intends to put an end to the activist partisan agenda of unelected bureaucrats that is damaging the country and any hope for an economic recovery."
