Wednesday: Tea Party "Jobs Bash" one block away from Obama's Chicago fundraiser

A 50th birthday bash for President Obama will be held at Chicago's legendary Aragon Ballroom Wednesday evening. One block away, William J. Kelly will be hosting a Tea Party "Jobs Bash" at another historic North Side institution, the Green Mill, an Al Capone hangout. The contemporary gangsters are charging anywhere from $50 to $38,500 per couple to sing "Happy Birthday" to Obama as he makes a rare visit to his adopted hometown.

The national unemployment rate is at unbearable 9.2 percent, the Illinois rate is the same.

William J. Kelly of Kelly Truth Squad fame is the host at the Jobs Bash. The unemployed and the underemployed should bring business cards your résumés to:

UPDATE August 3: The Lawrence el station will be closed from 5:30pm until 9:45pm and Lawrence Avenue will be shut down too.
