Obama to give major economic speech--his ninth--in September; a rundown of his previous eight major speeches

Not another speech?!? President Obama says he will give a major speech on the economy next month, focusing on jobs, of which, despite the president's claims to the contrary, we have lost over 2.5 million since he was sworn in. Senate Republicans have discovered eight previous major economic speeches, which Fox News is reporting on its America Live program.

Here's a rundown of his previous major speeches:

President-elect Barack Obama to deliver major speech on the economy on Thursday. January 9, 2009.

President Barack Obama to give major speech on the economy at Georgetown University. April 14, 2009.

Obama to give major speech about economy on Monday. September 11, 2009.

Obama to promote new job ideas during Tuesday speech. December 5, 2009.

From an AP report on his State of the Union address on January 28, 2010: Declaring "I don't quit," an embattled President Barack Obama vowed in his first State of the Union address Wednesday night to make job growth his topmost priority and urged a divided Congress to boost the still-ailing economy with a new burst of stimulus spending.

A June 2, 2010 report from on "a major speech on the economy at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh."

From the Christian Science Monitor on September 8, 2010: "Ohio makes or breaks presidencies. That's one reason why President Obama picked Cleveland to unveil a new plan for economic recovery [emphasis mine] just 55 days before voters decide whether Democrats keep their majorities in the House and Senate."

From CNN on January 5, 2011: "President Barack Obama plans to deliver a major speech next month to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce [emphasis mine], the organization said Wednesday.

Kids, the word for today is failure.

Oh, by the way--Where are the jobs?
