Budget hawk and surprisingly entertaining Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels--who compared his dysfuntional Illinois neighbors to "The Simpsons," told the Indianapolis Star last night that he won't be running for president. Daniels told the paper that his wife and daughter and daughter vetoed his presidential aspirations.
It's beginning to be look like the pieces are in place for the 2012 GOP presidential race.
Daniels has been an effective governor for the Hoosier State.
