In 1987, when Detroit seemingly hit rock-bottom, the movie "Robocop" was made. Set in the Motor City, it put forth the proposition that Detroit was so out of contril, that only a cyborg-human combination could protect it.
Detroit's decline and fall continues. And there is a drive to build a Robocop statue there and plans for a new "Robocop" film.
Can Robocop save Detroit?
