Rick Santorum at the Reagan birthday party

Blogging from the Reagan birthday party in Chicago.

"We meant to change a nation, but instead we changed a world." Former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum recalled that phrase from President Reagan's farewell address.

And that he did. Speaking on a personal level, had it not been for Reagan, my wife may not have had the opportunity to leave the Soviet Union.

Wife... Soviet Union?
An interesting tidbit I didn't know about you.
One day I must buy you a drink or two.

Oh, yes. Mrs. MP was born in Latvia. Or what was then the Latvian SSR. She left in 1991.
