CPAC: Rumsfeld receives Defender of the Constitution Award

Blogging from CPAC in Washington DC.

Former Vice President Dick Cheney introduced his onetime mentor, former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld. Here's your New York Times headline: A heckler yelled out "War criminal." Rather than stand his ground and backup his "argument," he strolled out--but not before security hastened his departure.

Cheney and Rummy have been friends for forty years--after a heartfelt introduction, Cheney introduced Rumsfeld. The Chicago North Shore native received CPAC's Defender of the Constitution award.

Rumsfeld was magnanimous, he told the CPAC crowd, "I'd like to share this award with men and women of the United State armed forces."

Well done.
