Rep-elect Bobby Schilling of Illinois: Not a hypocrite

When he was defending his vote for ObamaCare back in April, Rep. Phil Hare (D-IL) replied that he didn't "worry about the Constitution." In August he called the controversy regarding that comment "silly stuff."

Now Hare is looking for a job. Voters in Illinois' 17th Congressional District chose to send pizzeria owner Bobby Schilling to Washington. Schilling is a breath of fresh air. An ObamaCare opponent, he's not only term-limiting himself, he's also turning down a congressional health care plan and a government pension. Schilling is also not accepting congressional pay raises.

These are not small sacrifices. Schilling has ten children.

You see, Bobby ran a solid campaign that'll work for the people. Phil Hare continued to run for the fences, and he was too stubborn to give up on any of his votes.

Phil should first off apologize for his vote on health care, then he needs to start accepting term limits, reject the congressional pension, and bring his own health care to Washington, then this voter may consider him...

In the meantime, I have full faith in Bobby to do the right thing in Washington!

I can't agree more with what Ambrosian said. I've heard about this pizza guy and I like what I see from him. He's got real potential to make a difference in Congress.
