Rod Blagojevich's old running mate, Pat Quinn, and his public sector union cronies, were declared the victors in Illinois' governor race by AP.
Actually, AP left out the bit about the unions, but it the erstwhile populist was probably likely over the top because of the efforts of SEIU, AFSCME and the teachers' unions.
Remember--government unions are not the friend of the taxpayers--they're the fiends.
But as I wrote earlier today, it was Republican Bill Brady's race to lose--and he lost it.
Quinn favors increasing the state income tax.
Watch your wallets, Illinoisans. And just as with those people who voted for Blago who exclaimed, "Why aren't our politicians public servants?" after his arrest, I'll have no sympathy when they scream out the same thing after Quinn picks our pockets. It will be your fault, Quinn voters.
Yours.
Not Quinn's. Not Blago's.
Yours.
