Video: Schakowsky refuses to answer questions about Soros, constitutionality of ObamaCare

For years I've been hearing that the congressional district I've been living in for over twenty years, the Illinois' 9th, is heavily Democratic. If that is case, how come only thirty people--including staffers--showed up to an Organizing for America early voting rally outside Skokie's village hall this afternoon?

Thanks for the e-mails, OFA--keep 'em coming. Luv you!

I was disappointed with the meager turnout--unlike the Evanston OFA conclave, I wasn't able to blend in--wearing an MSNBC baseball cap wasn't necessary.

Schakowsky spoke to the few about early voting and decried something her Republican opponent, Joel Pollak, said last night at a candidates' forum. "President Barack Obama," Schakowsky quoted Pollak, "has made it acceptable to hate Israel." But Pollak, whom this blog heartily endorses, is right about Obama.

After her remarks Schakowsky led the "crowd" into the village hall where I suppose some people voted. Was it a "dog and pony" show? I dunno. But ten minutes later she emerged all the same.

Eight days ago, at another candidates' forum, Sckakowsky was unable to explain the constitutionality of ObamaCare to blogger Adam Sharp. He was lucky, Sharp got replies, although Schakowsky didn't answer his question. Rebel Pundit, armed with his iPhone, asked her the same query. I asked her about the funding of the anti-Israel group J Street by self-loathing Jew George Soros.

Schakowsky is oh-so-tight with J Street.

Hi Jan! I'm a constituent of yours.

My state representative, Lou Lang (D-Skokie), warmed up the sparse. He's a real piece of work. Lang is the chairman of the General Assembly's Gaming Committee, casinos are generous contributors to his campaign fund. He's running unopposed this year. Republicans: let's not repeat this error.

Please don't call me naive for jumping on Lang by telling me, "That's the way it is in Illinois." I know it's the way it is. And it stinks. Time to change the rules.

Time for a new person to represent me in Washington.

UPDATE October 19: Writing for Big Government, Andrew Marcus says Schakowsky doesn't want to ask tough questions. He's right.
