House Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) introduced the Tax Hike Prevention Act yesterday.
Democrats are conspiring to at least partially let the Bush tax cuts to expire. Economics 101: Never raise taxes during a recession. Here's what McConnell said about the the majority party's machinations yesterday: "Democrats spent the last two years putting government in charge of health care, the financial sector, car companies, insurance companies, student loans — you name it. Now they want the tax hike to pay for it all."
The last time I listened to CNBC's Larry Kudlow's Saturday radio show, he slammed the Dems for not extending the cuts for everyone. Needless to say, Kudlow likes McConnell's bill, calling it "good politics and good economics."
