Governor Joe Manchin, a Democrat, is running for the US Senate seat previously held by the late Robert Byrd, who was also a Democrat. Byrd supported the so-called Employee Free Choice Act, which will take away workers' right to a secret ballot election when deciding to join a union. But the Charleston Daily Mail is reporting that Manchin is taking a wait-and-see approach on the anti-choice EFCA.
A Democrat in a union-friendly state not joining ranks and backing EFCA?
It could be because it is a bad bill.
