Mark Kirk wants to cancel $400,000 gifts to Libyan charites

Rep. Mark Kirk (R-IL) wants to cancel $400,000 in grant offered by the Obama administration to two Libyan charities.

The charities are controlled by the family of its madman leader, Muammar Gadhafi.
(After his speech to the UN on Wednesday, who can argue that point?)

So far the White House has not responded to Kirk's demand.

The Highland Park Republican is running for the US Senate seat held by Roland Burris (D-Blagojevich).

On a related note, the UN Arabic translator of Ghadafi's 90 minute speech collapsed towards the end of the rant, exclaiming "I can't take it anymore."
