House cuts off funds to ACORN, libs stick by them

Truth, justice, and the American way scored a victory yesterday when the House of Representatives followed the Senate's lead, and voted 345-75 to cut ACORN off from federal funds.

All of the House Republicans voted to defund the left-wing group, along with about two-thirds of the Democratic caucus.

Who stood by ACORN? The far left, including my own congresscritter, Jan Schakowsky, who has worked with the group of the past, along with Sheila Jackson-Lee of Texas, Henry Waxman and Maxine Waters of California, Edward Markey of Massachussets, and Charlie Rangel of New York.

Sckakowsky was joined by a couple of Illinoisans, Bobby Rush and Jesse Jackson, Jr.
