Durbin makes a revealing comment about ObamaCare

I watched NBC's Meet The Press yesterday morning, and Sen. Dick Durbin, the number two Democrat in the Senate, made this telling comment about health care reform:

This is our chance. If we don't do it this time, we won't have a chance in my lifetime and the situation will get progressively worse. Let us face up to the reality and do this in a responsible way.

Not another chance? Well, if ObamaCare is worth putting into law in 2009, it should be worth it next year, or in 2011.

It's bad legislation. Apparently even Durbin had figured that out, and he feels the need to Rahm it through Congress.

Another Illinois Senator, Everett Dirksen, made this comment decades ago:

Nothing is as powerful as an idea whose time has come.

The time has not come for ObamaCare.
