Senate debate on Barack Obama's economic stimulus bill...what is it, $900 billion now?...begins this morning.
Like other Republican, Senator John McCain doesn't like the bill, as he told CBS News' Harry Smith on The Early Show earlier today.
The former president said the bill will "burden future generations of Americans with the biggest budget deficit in history."
He also told Smith, that Obama's plan has "too much spending, too much unnecessary spending, not the right kind of tax cuts, and no endgame."
Meanwhile, Obama says that the Republicans have a lot of good ideas, and he wants to incorporate them into this bill. Of course, the Democrats failed to to that when the stimulus bill was in the House.
And Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, speaking on a different CBS show yesterday, said that the stimulus bill in its current form will not make it out of the upper chamber.
