That the Senate GOP will elect its leadership tomorrow--expect no major changes.
The lame duck session will be dominated by legislative maneuvering regarding the proposed $25 billion auto industry bailout--see my previous post.
Not many Republicans in Senate support it, and it's not clear if many Democrats do.
Which is why, according to a story I just saw on Shepherd Smith's Fox Report, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is looking to attach the auto bailout to a larger bill.
Larger than $25 billion? Ugh.
Looking ahead to the next Congress, the Senate GOP will play an important role, serving as a moderating influence against the incoming administration, Reid, and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

I fear that the true moderate in the Obama, Reid, Pelosi triumvirate is going to be Obama. Ok, by "true" I mean "relative." That's scary.
Yeah, Obama has Rahm Emmanuel too.
