Besides Bill "Bomber" Ayers being in the news, Barack Obama's friend and political sponsor, Antoin "Tony" Rezko, isn't fading into the background. Rezko was found guilty of 16 fraud and extortion charges in June. He was originally scheduled to be sentenced for those crimes last month, but his attorneys asked for a delay--which was granted--moving Rezko's sentencing date to October 28.
Now federal prosecutors want to push back Rezko's sentencing. Rumors have been rampant in Chicago that the Wilmette businessman is talking to the feds, possibly spilling the beans on Illinois' unpopular governor, Democrat Rod Blagojevich.
The government wants him at arm's length--not cleaning toilets in Duluth or Terre Haute.
