Yesterday in Chicago, John McCain (My note: Woo, hoo, McCain was in Illinois!) hosted a fundraiser that raised more than $4 million. Here in Illinois, we (Who is this we?) need to push back hard. (My note: You mean like when those Cult of Change goons pushed back on Milt Rosenberg's radio show last month?)
The huge checks McCain raised will go into a war chest that continues to run negative, misleading attack ads against Barack and this campaign. (Of course, Obama flip-flopped when he declined public financing for his campaign. The Cult of Change will greatly outspend and out raise the McCain-Pailn campaign.)
Their latest ad uses what news organizations (My note: MSNBC?) are calling "naked lies" to reinvent two politicians whose records embody the same culture of corruption and far-right policies we've seen from the Bush administration. (My note: Culture of corruption? Of course Obama's cult, oops, make that culture of corruption includes his first political sponsor, recently convicted felon Antoin "Tony Rezko, as well as his state Senate mentor, Emil Jones, Jr. The latter likely steered government business to his stepson, and in a backroom deal just last month, Jones anointed his son as his successor. Oh, then there is his state treaurer pal, Alexi Giannoulias, who approved a loan to a convicted mobster, with the nickname of "Jaws," while an officer at his family-owned bank.)
The biggest whopper in the new McCain ad (that's still being repeated day after day by McCain and Palin on the campaign trail) is that Governor Palin stopped the infamous "Bridge to Nowhere" -- in fact, she supported it, and even hired a lobbyist in Washington to get more pork barrel projects like it. (My note: Like it...not the same thing. But at the end of the day, Palin opposed "The Bridge to Nowhere.")
If the McCain-Palin campaign wants to have a debate about who is prepared to bring the change we need, we're more than ready. (My note: Debates? Why won't "Mr. Teleprompter" debate John McCain in a town hall setting? You guys are not ready.)
