Democrats will not learn this lesson and, in fact, will probably enact policies that will make matters far worse. What will get blamed is free markets and capitalism.

If anything, this demonstrates that Nancy either wanted this bill to fail, or she is a completely worthless leader.
I'm going for the latter since she went to members in contested districts and green lighted them to vote "no."
If she'd wanted this bill passed, why did 90+ Dems vote no?
Why did 15 California Dems vote no?
Why didn't Obama ring up Bobby Rush and Jesse J (who both voted "no") to give them some Obama-love?
this whole deal was a scam, and the legislation, while Nancy pushed "bipartisanship" (before and after that embarrassing speech, yesterday) was really designed to fail so that Nancy could use this as a bludgeon against the GOP.
In short, she's leveraging our financial security to gain political points.

As for McCain's ad - which is worse? A clumsy accident which really hurts no one but him; or, selling out your country?
