Rezko jury heads home early

The way things are going, it could be a while before there is a verdict in the corruption trial of Antoin "Tony" Rezko, as the Daily Herald reports:

Jurors began their deliberations in the federal corruption trial early last week.

They sent a note to Judge Amy St. Eve Tuesday morning saying one of the jurors has a family emergency and so the panel will be heading home at noon.

The jurors also sent the judge a note Monday saying they'll need to take May 30 off from deliberations because a juror's in-laws are coming to visit.

The jury will take Friday and Memorial Day off as well.
