Breaking...Barack Obama to appear tonight on Hannity & Colmes to talk about Rev. Wright: UPDATED

I'm watching Hannity & Colmes right now, and Alan Colmes just announced that Senator Obama will appear on the show, live, to discuss the controversial statements by his spiritual advisor and recently retired pastor, the Reverend Jeremiah Wright.

Colmes just told the audience that Obama says he was not in the pews during any of the inflammatory sermons that have dominated internet and some media outlets.

Earlier today, Obama--not one of his spokesmen--denounced Wright's comments.

Wright had one only official tie to his former parishioner's campaign, serving on the African American Religious Leadership Committee. Ben Smith reports tonight that the Reverend Wright is no longer on that panel.

UPDATE 8:40PM: Major Garrett interviewed Obama on the Hannity & Colmes Show.

Obama says he never heard the Reverend Wright make statements similar to the ones that have been playing on Fox News and ABC News.

When Major Garrett asked Obama if he would've quit the church had he heard them before yesterday, he dodged the question. Garrett had to repeat the question, and finally, Obama said if he heard such controversial statements repeatedly, then he would've left the church.

My take: Obama is in a lot of trouble if he's found to have been in the pews during any of Wright inflammatory sermons.

I think Obama is pretty much toast now, John!

You can take some credit for being all over his pastor/church problem a long time ago, well before this thing broke wide open.

I wonder what that commenter who was so irritated with you for pointing out this potential problem for Obama is thinking now?

Poking at that particularly vulnerable sore spot really seemed to tick her off, too bad the comments from the old thread seem to be lost in the internet ether at this point.

Keep up the great work!

Oh...I still have them, Mr. Right.

The new blogger template isn't getting along with Haloscan, but they're nicely archived.

Thanks for the compliment, as always.

It's not about the pastor. If Obama's THEOLOGY is seen for what it is the election is lost. See:
