The man who just left servicing my air conditioner discovered something he was wasn't here for--a wasp nest.
But what I found was January 28, 2007 New York Times article, in which the author found a Harvard Law School era quote to AP the future senator made to AP:
I'm not interested in the suburbs. The suburbs bore me.
Of any bloggers I'm familiar with, only The Politico picked up on it.
Obama is going to have to spend a lot of time in the suburbs if he wins his party's nomination. And as any viewer of Desperate Housewives will tell you, it's not that boring in the suburbs.
As for next year's presidential election, rural America is for the most part Republican, urban America is Democratic. Which leaves the nation's suburbs as the decisionmaker on who will be sworn in on the steps of the Capitol on January 20, 2009.
