Wachovia has one less customer

Wachovia, the giant North Carolina based bank that is currently begging for forgiveness from the Chicago City Council because over 140 years ago some predecessor companies owned slaves, can count on not having Pam Meister of Blogmeister USA as a customer.

I blogged on this subject Sunday.

Here's Pam's take:

I bank with Wachovia. Not by choice in the beginning...a few years ago, they bought out First Union, whom I had been banking with since switching from People's...long story.

In any case, I'm leaving Wachovia. Not because I'm a bank-hopper, looking for the best interest rates on my savings account. Heck, right now my savings account is empty. No, I'm leaving Wachovia because they're the latest corporation to
kiss up to the slavery reparations gang.

One member of the Chicago City Council, Alderman Patrick Levar, is pursing what I'm sure he feels is the high road by moving to closing down a bike shop by abusing the intent of eminent domain so a private developer can put pricey condominiums in the bike shop's place.

Hello. I find your blog very interesting. Recently, my friend had to deal with Wachovia company. It is not that he was dissatisfied with the services, but the charges are too high. I think that if the bank charges high fees then the customer service should be on the appropriate level. People, who commented on the bank on this great site www.pissedconsumer.com also think so.
