I found a remnant of the old Chicago North Shore and Milwaukee Railroad between Dempster and Gross Point Road in Skokie yesterday afternoon. I thought all of the old tracks had been removed for scrap, but this portion is covered by thick brush, which might explain why it survives.

Oh, I'm a runner--Marathon Pundit--so I notice stuff on the ground level that others may miss in their cars or even bikes.
