Two days ago I ascertained that a photograph I took of a nearby old cemetery would look better in black-and-white. But this photograph of the frozen Des Plaines River next to the Oakton Avenue bridge, which I snapped this morning, pretty much came out naturally in B&W--save for the sepia clouds as the sun struggled to come out.
The snow you see is fresh, about two inches of the four we received today had fallen by the time I took this pic.
