The June unemployment figures are out--and the jobless rate remains at 8.2 percent. By now, according to the geniuses at the White House, the unenmployment rate should be 5.6 percent. That's what they said when they were hawking the since-failed stimulus. And they promised that the jobless rate would not have exceeded 8 percent, according to those estimates.
How wrong they are--in so many ways.
Only 80,000 new jobs were created in June. And one-third of those jobs were temporary positions.
Mitt Romney is right--Obama isn't working.
Oh, once again, the jobless figures for previous months were revised downwards. In April and May, the Labor Department said today that 1,000 fewer people were hired in those months.
Which probably means the June numbers are worse than the Obama Labor Department says they are.
