President Obama, our serial apologist for America, needs to issue one fast. Yesterday he referred to Auschwitz (sounds German, doesn't it?) as "a Polish death camp." Poles are demanding an apology. Obama made the remark during the ceremony awarding the late Jan Karski the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Karski was a member of the Polish resistance during World War II.
The White House issued its "regret" over the statement, but that's not enough for them.
Interestingly, this is not Obama's first Auschwitz gaffe. In 2008 he claimed his uncle was one of the American soldiers who liberated Auschwitz. But it was the Red Army drove the Nazis from the death camp.
