Video: Jesse Jackson on Holy Saturday--Jesus was an occupier

As he did five months ago in London, the Reverend Jesse Jackson intermingled the story of Jesus and the Occupy movement. Only this time he did it on Holy Saturday.

Occupy Chicago held its Chicago Spring march and rally earlier today. And the Reverend Jesse Jackson recounted when Jesus cleared the moneychangers out of the temple in Jerusalem.

Jackson asks, "But why was He killed?"

Here's the answer you won't hear during Easter mass: "Because He fought and occupied the corrupt temple."

Jackson's account gets muddled later on, but clearly he's referring to the woman outside the temple who could offer only two nearly worthless coins to the house of worship. Of her Jackson says, "She is the 99 percent. So we occupy."

Comparing Jesus' life to a political movement is a foolish endeavor--leave it to Jackson to do just that.

Tomorrow: Marathon Pundit interviews a fare jumper.

Hoppy Easter!

Actually, if the 'reverend' had a clue about the religion he claims to represent, he would have known that Jesus chased the occupiers of his time out of his Father's temple. Jesus, like the rest of humanity, saw them for what the really were - violent, race baiting hustlers trying to bully good people into supporting their lifestyle. Jesus would have none of that.
