Video: While Obama's 26-car motorcade passes, Occupy protesters chant

Last night I videotaped President Obama's motorcade as it arrived at the University of Illinois-Chicago Forum for a fundraiser. Obama visited his campaign office and attended two other fundraisers--there was no official government business conducted on this trip to his adopted hometown.

Yes, other presidents have done what Obama is doing in regards to fundraisers, but not only did they attend fewer of them, they had the courtesy of mixing them in with something directly related to their real jobs. Obama is averaging a fundraiser every four days.

Watch as Obama's 26-car motorcade passes by on the corner of Roosevelt Road and Union Avenue. With me on the corner were roughly 50 other people--half of them were Occupy Chicago protesters, the rest were Obama fans and curiosity seekers.

A block west on Halsted, about a dozen snowplows blocked that street. If you include those trucks, Obama's taxpayer-funded motorcade included 38 vehicles.

But Obama raised $2 million yesterday. What did it cost taxpayers?

This is not my best video, but it's not as if I could ask the police officers to move out of my camera view.

How about we tax the Occupiers? Now that would be a tax increase I would support 1000%.
