More on Illinois' outrageous union pensions

"I am sick and tired of subsidizing crooks." 2010 Republican candidate for Cook County Board President Roger Keats, announcing his move to Texas.

I covered this Chicago story earlier today, but the Workforce Fairness Institute adds a bit to the narrative.

One of the most shocking violations comes from Dennis Gannon, former president of the Chicago Federation of Labor, who will swindle Chicago from approximately $5 million. Not to mention he told a newspaper that he was only trying to follow the law by filing for the pension.

All in all this is another example of the corrupt and corrosive nature of Big Labor bosses. Once in control, these bosses undermine and hurt American workers, only focusing on how to sweeten deals for themselves.
Gannon remains a big player for the Illinois Democratic Party. I got a robocall from him before last fall's midterms.

Watch in this YouTube video as Gannon boasts in front of the 2008 Illinois Democratic National Convention delegation, "There's more labor delegates to this convention than I believe ever in the past."

Hmm...that explains a lot.

He adds, when explaining why the needs of unions and Democrats are intertwined. "We want pensions" Well, I want a Gannon-type pension.
