The Tea Party Express continues its Restoring Common Sense tour of Wisconsin.
On Tuesday, six Republican state senators face recall elections in the Badger State next week. Their vote in favor of Governor Scott Walker's budget repair bill brought forth the ire of public-sector unions. It also forced the TPX to move the site of this afternoon's Kenosha rally from a restaurant to a park seven miles away--the establishment's owner feared a Big Labor boycott. ThirdWaveDave has photographs from Kenosha. On Friday TPX graced Hudson and LaCrosse on the western end of America's Dairyland, which ThirdWaveDave also covers.
On Sunday the freedom caravan motors north for three rallies: North Fond du Lac at 11:30am, New London at 2:30pm, and Merrill at 6:00pm.
The whole recall push against the Wisconsin GOP state senators was ignited by their vote to eliminate collective bargaining for most public-sector unions, which is an issue that is hardly being discussed by Big Labor now. Even the union bosses know it's a loser-issue, I guess.
So they resort to goonery.
