Blago trial: Defense plans to call on Rahm, Junior

Chicago's Grant Park
The down-sized second trial of former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich could get more exciting. The Chicago Tribune is reporting that not only is Blago expected to testify in his defense, but the hair-brained one's lawyers plan on calling U.S Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr. (D-2nd) and newly-minted Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

You don't have to have a law degree to figure out Junior and Rahm will have one goal in mind if they end up on the witness stand--covering their butts.

Jackson's fundraiser for Blago a few days before his arrest will haunt the South Side congressman for the rest of his political career. As for Emanuel, he's off to a pretty good start as mayor--why make things hard on himself?
