Workforce Fairness Institute on Obama's budget: Cut NLRB and NMB

Today was budget day in Washington, which is why it's just as well as I left town yesterday. I wouldn't want to get arrested for disturbing the peace by yelling "Not enough" to loudly.

The Workforce Fairness Institute was at CPAC--I don't know if they had a booth, but someone handed me a flier from this superb organization over the weekend while I was roaming the confusing corridors of the Marriott Wardman Park.

What's real clear is the following statement from the WFI:

Washington, D.C. (February 14, 2011) – The Workforce Fairness Institute (WFI) today issued the following statement in response to President Obama’s budget:

“With the nation facing the largest budget deficit in history, it would certainly make sense to review taxpayer dollars directed to administrative agencies like the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and National Mediation Board (NMB) that pursue job-killing policies,” said Katie Gage, executive director of the Workforce Fairness Institute (WFI). “Small businesses are creating our nation’s jobs and driving the economy, yet they are under constant assault by agencies whose members are beholden to Big Labor bosses. Job creators expect that those in government take a serious look at the resources these bureaucrats receive particularly in light of the fact that the NLRB and NMB are working to put them out of business by giving bailouts to union bosses.”
