And I miss old Rockford town,
Up by the Wisconsin border.
Tom Waits, "Day After Tomorrow," 2004.
Irony alert: While 14 members of Wisconsin's state Senate are hiding in Illinois, two busloads of Rockford union protesters are headed to Madison for a Saturday MoveOn.org coordinated rally in front of Wisconsin's state capitol, the Rockford Register-Star is reporting.
Why don't the Rockford goons stay home and why don't the state senators go home?
This morning David Hale of the Rockford Tea Party was a guest on Fox News' America's Newsroom where he talked about confronting those AWOL senators south of the cheese curtain.
However, Fox News, great as it is, is way behind the curve--Hale was a guest on the Andrea Shea King's BlogTalkRadio show a week ago.
MoveOn.org is organizing rallies in each of our state capitols tomorrow.
Oh, isn't it great to see Rockford in the news when it has nothing to do with unemployment.
